About TeaCup
Built for the worry between phone calls.
TeaCup began with a question a lot of families ask quietly: how would we know? Not in an emergency — someone usually finds out eventually — but on an ordinary Tuesday, when someone has had a difficult night and nobody rang.
The honest answer, for most families, is that they wouldn’t. So they ring more often than either side really wants, and the calls slowly stop being about anything other than checking.

What we decided not to build
Cameras were out from the start — nobody should be watched in their own home. Wearables were out too: they get taken off, they need charging, and they only work if the person chooses to wear them every day.
What was left was the house itself. How warm it is, which rooms get used, when the kettle goes on. It turns out that is enough to recognise an ordinary day — and therefore enough to notice an unusual one.
Who we are
A small British company, building carefully.
TeaCup is made by Triform Digital. We are deliberately small, we answer our own emails, and we would rather tell you what the product does not do than oversell what it does.
That means being straight about the limits. TeaCup notices when a day looks different from usual and tells you. It is not a medical device, it does not summon help, and it does not replace anyone. It is there so that you find out sooner.
